Dr. Fitton is a native of the northwest suburbs of Chicago and has been in the private practice of dentistry for over 30 years. He currently practices in Barrington, IL and Honolulu, HI. Dr. Fitton is a graduate of St. Viator High School, University of Dayton and Loyola University School of Dentistry. Describing himself as a “compulsive learner,” Dr. Fitton has completed over one thousand hours of continuing education. His extensive training has included orthodontics, endodontics, implants and cosmetic dentistry. Currently he is a participant in the Gnathos Organization for Orthodontics and Periodontics, as well as the Advanced Dental Implant Studies Group, an international think tank for the development of new techniques for the use and placement of dental implants.
Dr. Fitton is the holder of 2 patents, one for a process to sterilize and clean dental unit water lines, and the Manta Bite Scuba Mouthpiece. The Manta-Bite was designed as a safety mouthpiece for divers and snorkelers.
While not practicing dentistry, Dr. Fitton enjoys golf, scuba diving, fishing and ice hockey. He has served on numerous civic boards including the Barrington Chamber of Commerce, Northwest Chargers Hockey Association, Village of Inverness Board and Inverness Golf Club Board of Directors.
Dr Fitton is an active member of the American Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society, Hawaii State Dental Society and American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
